Happy Harry Potter Book Night!

How exciting! For those who don't know yet, today (the 5th of Feb) is officially Harry Potter Book Night! Hope you guys have had a magical themed day and managed to enjoy a read (or re-read) of your favourite Harry Potter book or movie and reminisced about your favourite moments. I'm going to wrap up the night with re-reading the first book of the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - if only I had a mug of butter beer to go with it!

Here's a cliche question, but fun nonetheless: What is your favourite Harry Potter book and why? Book one will always standout for me as it introduced me to the amazing world of magic and Hogwarts. I particularly loved the Diagon Alley scenes. Let me know your favourite book in the comments and, if you ended up doing anything, tell me what you did to celebrate #HarryPotterBookNight!

  1. I haven't read all the HP books but my favorite would be the 5th! So much going on and even though Sirius' death killed me a bit there was so much going on and their relationship throughout the book was so beautiful!

  2. I started a reread of the series a little while back, and I'm finally starting Chamber of Secrets, so I'll be continuing that tonight! I don't know which one I'd consider to be my favorite. Sorcerer's Stone will always have a huge piece of my heart, but I know my favorite used to be Goblet of Fire. I think I'll try to decide again once I finish my reread (I know my least favorite is Chamber of Secrets though!).

  4. My favorite book is The Deathly Hallows. That book gave me the feels over and over. I cried and mourned every death. My favorite part, however, was learning Snape's truth. For that, I actually cried tears of joy. (:

  6. My least favourite is Chamber of Secrets as well, that being said the entire series is very high up on my favourites list. Hope you re-reading the series, it's always fun!

  8. Omg! I didn't know it was Harry Potter Book night!!!!! Thank God I was reading The Goblet of Fire anyway yesterday! So I guess you can say I celebrated by going for a walk in my favorite town square while listening to the fourth installment on audio (it was freezing out, but hey, I had Harry Potter to keep me warm :D). Good reading day overall :)

As for my favorite Harry Potter read, I would say it's the Deathly Hallows. It always makes me cry, and I love finding the little references and tie-ins to the other books (such as Mafalda Hopkirk from the Improper Use Of Magic Office).
